A good way to start against India

The most expected seven ODI series between India and the Australia began at the Vadodara stadium. The Australian won the toss of the first ODI and elected to bat first. SR Watson and Paine started the match for the Australians. Paine played well for his half century, while Pointing played a useful innings making 74 runs. White also gave a good contribution by scoring 51 runs. Hussey’s useful innings made their team to score 292 runs with the run rate of 5.84 runs per over. I Sharma picked up 3 wickets from the Indian bowling side. The Indian batting started off with Sehwag and Tendulkar and they lost their wickets quickly. Gambhir played well for his 68 runs and held the innings in place; Harbhajan Singh batting was a surprise to everyone as he made 49 runs in 48 balls. Unfortunately the Indian lost the match by just 4 runs, scoring 288 runs. MEK Hussy was given the man of the match award.
