Natwest series begins with blow for England

The most expected NatWest series was held between England vs. Australia. The first match was played at Kensington oval, London. The toss was won by England and they chose to field first. Australia started their inning with SR Watson and TD Paine, Watson played well for his 46 runs and Paine lost his wicket early. Ferguson played well for his 71 runs. White and Clarke played a useful innings and contributed to their team. Finally the team scored 260 runs with the run rate of 5.20 runs per over with the loss of 5 wickets. Collingwood picket up two wickets for the English bowling side. England started their inning with Strauss and Bopara and gave in a good start, Strauss lost his wicket for 12 runs, and Bopara played well for 49 runs. Other players in the team make useful runs to the team. However England players in team failed to score the winning runs. At the end of 50 over with the loss of 8 wickets the team scored 256 runs. Johnson picked up 3 wickets from Australia bowling side.
