Rain stops the game and levels the series

The 5th match of the Chappell – Hadley trophy was played at Woolloongabba, Brisbane and it was the most expected match as it could determine the result of the series. Rain disturbed the 50 over match and finally the game started with 22 over maximum for each team. New Zealand won the toss and chose to field first. Australian openers started the match Haddin played well 88 runs hussy picked made 55 runs and at the end of 22 over the team scored 168 runs with the loss of 4 wickets and the run rate of the inning was 7.63 runs per over. The target for New Zealand was 156 runs in 20 over, Guptill scored 64 runs and it the team scored 123 runs at the end of 14 over and rain stopped the game progress hence the match was drawn by 2-2. The player of the series was given to MEK Hussey.
