The second ODI between South Africa vs. Australia series was played at super sport park at centurion. The toss was won by the Australian team and the chose to bat first. Haddin and Clarke opened the inning for the team and they failed to perform well. CJ Ferguson played well for his 50 runs and other batsman collapsed and gave away their wicket easily. Steyn and Parnell of the South African team picked up 4 wickets each. Finally the Australian team score 131 runs with a run rate of 3.24 runs per over. With an easy target the South African team started their innings with GC Smith and HH Gibbs, smith scored 40 runs and led his team to success. Kallis and Villiers also contributed well for the team. With the loss of 3 wickets, at the ends of 26.2 over the team scored 132 runs and won by 7 wickets with 142 runs remaining. The man of the match was given to WD Parnell.

Australia in South Africa is the series of game which made all the Australian and South African fans very happy and excited as well. The first ODI was held at king mead, Durban; it was a 50 over match day/ night match. Australia won the toss and elected to bat first, Haddin and Clarke opened the innings for Australia, Haddin played well for his 52 runs, Clarke lost his wicket early. MEK hussy played well for his 83 run and the team managed to get 286 runs with 5.72 runs per over. From the South African bowling side D.W Steyn and Morkel picked up two wickets each. To chase the target, the South Africans started the game with Amla and Smith, smith made 52 run. The entire batsman collapsed and lost their match losing their entire wicket in 33.1 over. The team managed to score 145 run. The Australian won by 141 run. The Australian led the series by 1-0. The last match of Australia vs. Pakistan series, the 5th ODI was played in Abu Dhabi. The Australian won the toss and selected to bat first. Watson and Haddin opened match for Australia, Watson made 116 runs and other players also supported him from the other end. With the loss of 4 wickets the team score 250 runs with a run rate of 5.00 per over. The Pakistan innings started with Ahmed Shehzad and butt and dint not score well for their team. However Akmal played well for 116 runs, Misbah-ul-haq also made 76 runs. With the loss of 3 wickets in 47 over the Pakistan team made 254 runs easily and won the match in style. The series was won by Australia by 3-2. The man of the match was given to Akmal and the player of the series was awarded to MJ Clarke. The 4th ODI between Australia vs Pakistan was held Abu Dhabi, this was the most expected match as all the Pakistan fans wanted a big come back from their team. Salmon Butt and Ahmed Shehzad opened the inning for the Pakistan as they won the toss and chose to bat first. Shehzad picked up 43 runs, Misbah-ul-Haq also picked 34 runs, and Afridi also picked 40 runs. The Pakistan team finally made 197 runs with a run rate of 4.04 runs per over. DE Bollinger picked 5 wickets and made a mark in the Australian bowling side. It was easy target for the Australians, Watson and Haddin started the inning for them. Haddin lost his wicket in the first ball. However Watson played well for his 85 runs and MJ Clarke scored his century and led the Australian team to a big win. Australian team won the match with a loss of 2 wickets at the end of 44.2 overs. Australia led the 5 match series by 3-1. The 3rd one day international between Australia vs. Pakistan was held at Abu Dhabi. It was a 50 over day/night match. Australia won the toss and chose to bat. JR Hopes and Haddin started the innings for the Australian team. Haddin lost his wicket when he scored 26 runs, and Hopes lost his wicket for 15 runs. However MJ Clarke managed to make 66 runs for his team. Ferguson also made 41 runs for his team and finally the Australian team made 198 runs with a run rate of 198 runs per over. Gul picked up 3 vital wickets and Afridi took 2 from the Pakistan bowling side. Pakistan started their inning with Salman Butt and shehazad, both the players made 40 odd runs each for their team. However the team collapsed as the middle order batsman failed to perform well. The Pakistan team lost its entire wicket for 171 runs. MJ Clarke picked up 3 wickets and it was a glorious win for the Australian team with 27 runs. The Australian team led the series by 2-1. The second ODI of the Australia vs. Pakistan was held at Dubai sports city cricket stadium. This match was a day/night 50 over match. Pakistan won the toss and chose to bat first. Salman butt Ahmed Shehzad opened the inning for the team. Butt played well for 57 runs, Misbah-ul-haq scored 41 runs. The other batsman failed to give a big contribution to the team. The Pakistan team scored 207 runs losing their entire wicket to Pakistan in 46.2 over. The target run rate was 4.46 runs. Hauritz picked 3 wickets from the Australian bowling side. Australia started their inning with the target of 208 runs in just 50 overs. Clarke played well for his 58, hopes gave in a good contribution of 48 runs and the team scored the winning runs in 45.1 over. The Australians made a comfortable win by 6 wickets and 29 balls remaining. Afridi picked up 2 wickets for the Pakistani bowling side. The man of the match award was given to Andrew Symonds. The 5-match series was level by 1-1. Australia vs. Pakistan ODI was held at Dubai Sports city cricket stadium. This was a 50 over day/night match. Australia won the toss and elected to bat first. SE Marsh and BJ Haddin opened the inning for the Australian team. Haddin and Watson score 40 runs each and the top scorer of the match was Ferguson who made 48 runs in 46 balls. Finally the team scores 168 runs losing their entire wicket to the Pakistan team. Shahid Afridi picked 6 vital wicket of the Australian team. The target was easy for the Pakistanis. The inning was started by Salman butt and Akmal Salman butt lost his wicket when he has just scored 5 runs. Akmal made 48 runs other batsman gave in a good contribution and led the team to victory. Losing just 6 wickets, at the end of 44.1 overs the Pakistan made 171 runs very easily. Shahid Afridi was awarded the man of the match. The 5th match of the Chappell – Hadley trophy was played at Woolloongabba, Brisbane and it was the most expected match as it could determine the result of the series. Rain disturbed the 50 over match and finally the game started with 22 over maximum for each team. New Zealand won the toss and chose to field first. Australian openers started the match Haddin played well 88 runs hussy picked made 55 runs and at the end of 22 over the team scored 168 runs with the loss of 4 wickets and the run rate of the inning was 7.63 runs per over. The target for New Zealand was 156 runs in 20 over, Guptill scored 64 runs and it the team scored 123 runs at the end of 14 over and rain stopped the game progress hence the match was drawn by 2-2. The player of the series was given to MEK Hussey. The fourth day/night match of the Chappell-Hadley trophy between Australia and New Zealand was played at Adelaide oval. New Zealand won the toss and chose to bat first. McCullum and Guptil start the batting for the kiwis. both the players played well and made handy runs, Taylor played well for his 76 runs other batsman dint play a long inning and the team managed to score 244 runs with the run rate of 4.88 per over. MG Johnson picked up 3 wickets form the Australian bowling side. Australia innings started well with Haddin and Clarke, Haddin played well for his 43 runs, DJ Hussy picked up 79 runs and led the Australian inning to the victory path. With the loss of 4 wickets and in 48.2 over the team made 247 runs and the Australians picked their second victory by 6 wickets. The player of the match was given to DJ Hussy of Australia. The series was level by 2-2. The third match of the Chappell- Hadley trophy was a very tough match between Australia vs. New Zealand. The kiwis won the toss and chose to field first. The Australian started their inning with Haddin and Clarke and both the openers started the game well for the Australians, Haddin made a century and Clarke played well for his 64 runs. MEK hussy played well for his century and others in the team gave in a good contribution and the team scored 301 runs with the run rate of 301 with the fall of 9 wickets. IE O’Brien picked up three wickets for kiwis. New Zealand started their game with Guptil and Fulton and they dint give the rights start, however Elliott played well for his 115 runs. Other batsman failed to score runs and finally at the end of 47.3 over the team lost all their wickets and was able to get the score of 269 runs. Bracken, Hildenhaus, Clarke and white picked up 2 wickets each. The Australian won by 32 runs and the man of the match was given to BJ Haddin of the Australia team. The Australian picked their first victory in this series. |
