A good way to start against India

The most expected seven ODI series between India and the Australia began at the Vadodara stadium. The Australian won the toss of the first ODI and elected to bat first. SR Watson and Paine started the match for the Australians. Paine played well for his half century, while Pointing played a useful innings making 74 runs. White also gave a good contribution by scoring 51 runs. Hussey’s useful innings made their team to score 292 runs with the run rate of 5.84 runs per over. I Sharma picked up 3 wickets from the Indian bowling side. The Indian batting started off with Sehwag and Tendulkar and they lost their wickets quickly. Gambhir played well for his 68 runs and held the innings in place; Harbhajan Singh batting was a surprise to everyone as he made 49 runs in 48 balls. Unfortunately the Indian lost the match by just 4 runs, scoring 288 runs. MEK Hussy was given the man of the match award.

England makes it in the last match

The 7th ODI of the NatWest series between Australia and England was played at Riverside Ground, Chester-le-Street. The English team won the toss and chooses to field first putting the Australian to bat first, Watson and Paine started the innings, Pointing played well for his 53 runs, MEK Hussey scored 49 runs and other players in the team did not shine well. At the end of 45.5 over the team scored 176 runs with the run rate of 3.84 runs per over. GP Swann picked by 5 wickets and gave a powerful bowling attach. England team started their inning with their usual players Strauss and Denly and played well at the started, Denly played 53 runs Strauss scored 47 runs and with the good support of their other players in the team they finally picked up the winning runs at the end of 40 over with the fall of 6 wickets. The England team finally got their first victory in this NatWest series against Australia. The English team won by 4 wickets and player of the match was awarded to GP Swann. The series was won by the Australians 6-1. The player of the series was given to CL White for his great performance.

Another loss for Australia

The 3rd ODI of the Australia in India series was held at Delhi. The Australian won the toss and made a choice to bat first. Watson and Pointing started the batting for the Australian team. Watson scored 41 runs while Pointing made 59 runs and gave a good start for their team. Hussey played well for his 81 runs. Finally the team made 229 runs with the loss of 5 wickets completing 50 over with the run rate of 4.58 runs per over. RA Jadeja picked 2 wickets from the Indian bowling side. The Indians started the innings with Sehwag and Tendulkar. Both the batsman lost their wickets after scoring few runs. However Yuvraj and Dhoni held the innings and lead the team to victory. They scored the winning runs at the end of 48.2 over with the loss of 4 wickets. The Indian team won by 6 wickets. Yuvraj was given the man of the match and the Indian lead the 7 series match by 2-1.

The struggle continues for England

The 6th match of the NatWest series between Australia vs. England was played at Trent Bridge, Nottingham. the Australian players won the toss and elected to bat first, SR Watson and TD Paine started the innings, Paine played well and scored his century,MEK Hussy scored 65 runs and finally the team scored 296 runs with the loss of 8 wickets at the end of 50 over, with the run rate of 5.92 runs per over. The English player Anderson picked 4 wickets from the bowling side. With the huge target, the English team started their match with AJ Strauss and JL Denly and dint give the start that the England team need and the whole team collapsed with just scoring 185 runs and lost all the wickets at the end of 41 over. The Australians won by 111 runs and Paine was awarded the man of the match. The series is fully dominated by the Australian team and it still continues and they led the series by 6-0.

Its again Australia

The 5th match of the NatWest series between Australia vs. England was held at Trent Bridge, Nottingham. The England team won the toss and choose to bat first, their opening batsman was Strauss and Denly who gave a fairly a good start and all the players contributed well. Among them EJG Morgan made 58 runs, Denly played well for his 45 runs and the finally the team scored 299 runs losing all their wicket at the end of 50 over with the run rate of 5. 98 run per over. From the Australian bowling side, Johnson, Watson, Hauritz picked two wickets each. the Australian team opened their bating with Watson and Paine and dint give the big blow as expected but still pointing played well and scored 126 and led his team to success. With the loss of 6 wickets at the end of 48.2 over they scored the winning runs and won by 4 wickets with 10 balls remaining.SCJ Broad, TT Bresnan picked 2 wickets each from the English bowling side. RT Pointing was awarded the man of the match. Australian led the 7-match series by 5-0.

England struggles further

The fourth match of the NatWest series, between Australia and England was played at Lord’s. The toss was won by the England team and they choose to bat first. To start with the innings Strauss and Denly opened the English batting side. AJ Strauss scored well for his 63 runs; Shah supported him and ended up scoring 39 runs. Finally the team scored 220 runs with the run rate of 4.73 per over. From the Australian bowling side B Lee picked 5 wickets and collapsed the English team. With the easy target the Australians stated the their batsman SR Watson and Paine who made his half century, MJ Clarke played well for his 62 runs and led the Australian team to victory. The Australian team with the loss of just 3 wickets at the end of 43.4 over the team reached the target and won over the English by 7 wickets. B Lee was awarded the man of the match. The Australia led the 7 match series by 4-0.

Australia seals the series against England

The 3rd ODI of the NatWest series between Australia and England was held at the rose bowl, Southampton. The England team won the toss and chose to bat first. AJ Strauss and Bopara opened the inning for batting for the English side, Strauss played well for 63 runs. Morgan played well for 43 runs and team scored 228 with the run rate of 4.56 runs per over. Watson picked 3 wickets from the Australia bowling side. With a great easy target the Australian team started off the inning with Watson and Paine, both the opener lost their early wickets quickly. However white and Clarke played a great innings, Clarke scored 52 runs and white made his century and lead the Australian team to success. Australia won the match by 6 wickets with 9 balls remaining. Australia led the series by 3-0 and the player of the match was given to CL White.

Johnson does it again for Australia

The second match of the NatWest series was played at lord’s London. England want to really give a strong come back. The toss was won by the English side and they choose to field first. Australians started their innings with Watson and Paine both started the game very slowing scoring their runs without losing their wickets. However Paine lost his wicket when got 26 runs, Watson lost his wicket to Bresnan when he made just 34 runs. Ferguson gave in a good contribution of 55 runs, hopes played well for his 43 runs. Finally the team scored 249 runs with the run rate of 4.98 runs per over. England started their batting with Strauss and Bopara, Strauss made 47 runs, Collingwood played well for his 56 runs and other player failed to get runs for their team. The English team lost all his wickets at the end of 46.1 over with the 210 runs. The Australian won the match by 39 runs. The Australian led the series by 2-0. The player of the match was given to MG Johnson.

Natwest series begins with blow for England

The most expected NatWest series was held between England vs. Australia. The first match was played at Kensington oval, London. The toss was won by England and they chose to field first. Australia started their inning with SR Watson and TD Paine, Watson played well for his 46 runs and Paine lost his wicket early. Ferguson played well for his 71 runs. White and Clarke played a useful innings and contributed to their team. Finally the team scored 260 runs with the run rate of 5.20 runs per over with the loss of 5 wickets. Collingwood picket up two wickets for the English bowling side. England started their inning with Strauss and Bopara and gave in a good start, Strauss lost his wicket for 12 runs, and Bopara played well for 49 runs. Other players in the team make useful runs to the team. However England players in team failed to score the winning runs. At the end of 50 over with the loss of 8 wickets the team scored 256 runs. Johnson picked up 3 wickets from Australia bowling side.

Australia makes it clean against Scotland

Australia vs. Scotland the only one ODI was played at grange cricket club ground Raeburn place, Edinburgh. Scotland won the toss and chose to field first, Australian opened the inning with Watson and Warner, Watson made 68 runs, and DJ hussy played a wonderful innings scoring 111 runs of just 109 balls, AC Voges also played well for his 72 runs. Finally the team score 345 runs with the run rate of 6.90 runs per over. Goodie picked up 5 Australian wickets. Scotland failed to bat well as most of their top order batsman failed to play well and lost all their wickets at the end of 39.3 over and making a score of just 156 runs. The Australian won the match by 189 runs. DJ Hussy won the man of the match award.
